Can you find the letter “T” in this image?

University researchers have found the act of ignoring certain things can help improve your performance when searching for something.

A great example is in the image below. Can you find the letter T?

And here’s a quick hint – the T won’t be red.

Researcher from Johns Hopkins University suggest that while ignoring can slow down a person’s search time initially, by having time to practice consistently ignoring specific distractions, visual search improves due to a person’s ability to pay attention.

We see it at play in the images below. Try to find the T in the image below.

Once you have, try this image. The T won’t be red.

You should have been able to find the second T much easier to find than the first one.
