Fergie's heartbreaking confession: "What I miss about Princess Diana the most"

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Fergie has revealed what she misses most about Princess Diana. The pair were best friends and that she misses Diana’s “tinkling laughter”.

“She’s with me all the time. What I miss most is her tinkling laughter.

"Diana was my best friend and the funniest person I knew. She had such timing and wit. It was a total joy to be with her because we just laughed and enjoyed life so much.”

Diana Spencer and Sarah Ferguson were thrust into the intense spotlight that follows the UK royal family after their marriages to Prince Charles and Prince Andrew.

It was through this intense period that they formed a strong friendship, filled with love and laughter.

In the '80s, they were very close-knit and spent a lot of time together.

Fergie spoke about their strong friendship in an interview with Prince Andrew after their engagement in 1986.

"The Princess of Wales and I are extremely good friends, and we naturally talk about a lot of different subjects," she said.

9Honey’s royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter agrees.

"Diana and Fergie became firm friends very early on because they could identify with the struggles of marrying into the Royal Family."

It was because of these struggles that a friendship was formed. The press caught onto their close friendship after an incident at Royal Ascot.

"I think it was at Royal Ascot that they were photographed prodding [men's] bottoms with their umbrellas, and Fergie and Diana were in fits of giggles," Arbiter said.

"They used to giggle a lot ... Diana had a wicked sense of humour, she was cheeky, she was naughty, she loved to laugh and Fergie made her laugh.”
