Duchess Meghan's multi-million dollar offer to return to Suits for “one last” episode

Before she became a royal, the Duchess of Sussex was known for her role as the sassy Rachel Zane on US TV show Suits, and now, the drama’s network NBC is ready to fork out big bucks for the former actress to make a return.

NBC Universal, the network behind the show, is ready to offer Meghan a lucrative deal as it plans to make a multi-million dollar donation to the charity of her choice, if she reprises her role for one episode.

Producers want to film a two-minute clip of the Duchess’ character Rachel Zane pregnant, as they show her living in the UK.

An insider from NBC spoke to the Daily Star and said: “We could be done in half a day or less.

“No final figure has yet been arrived at, but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future.

“I’ve heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around and that sounds a lot – but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history.”

Before marrying Prince Harry in a lavish ceremony, Meghan was a regular on Suits, as she starred in the hit drama series from 2010 up until April last year.

Her character was shown to marry her on-screen boyfriend Mike Ross, played by Patrick J Adams.

Executives at NBC have said that if the Duchess agrees on making an appearance, the storyline could “mirror real-life” as her character will be shown living in the UK and pregnant with her first child.

If Meghan chooses to reprise her role, it would prove to be a massive hit for the show’s ratings.
