“Everybody Loves Raymond” star Doris Roberts dies aged 90

Actress Doris Roberts, best known for her role in Everybody Loves Raymond, has passed away at the age of 90.

Roberts played the much-loved mother Marie Barone in the show, which ran for nine seasons from 1996 to 2005. She won five Emmys throughout her career, four of them for portraying Marie.

She also starred in films National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Grandma's Boy.
