These “bodybuilding bulls” are like nothing you’ve ever seen

Thanks to social media, we see plenty of random and strange things. This video that has recently emerged is no different: it shows two spectacularly muscular bulls wandering around a paddock.

The clip has divided the internet with some believing the enormous muscles must have been the result of steroid injections.

“This should be illegal to inject so much hormones and steroids into any animal it takes it out of its natural healthy looking character. This is sick and sad,” wrote one person.

But others were quick to say the bull’s physique is due to a genetic mutation.

“This is a Belgian breed of cattle that looks like this because of a genetic mutation that results in increased muscle mass!!! So stop this steroid and animal cruelty nonsense,” the user replied.

While it’s true that some cattle’s are injected with substances to produce thicker, leaner meat, it’s also true there are some breeds of bull that have more than double the muscle mass than standard due to a gene that supressed a muscle-inhibiting hormone.

It has not been confirmed where the footage was taken.
