Another royal wedding on the way
As if the upcoming birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child and the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t enough, the royals have just gone and announced yet another engagement.
According to a Buckingham Palace statement released today, Princess Eugenie, 27, and 31-year-old Jack Brooksbank, a wine merchant and nightclub manager, became engaged during a trip to Nicaragua earlier this month after over six years of dating.
The Palace also confirmed that the wedding will take place in the UK Autumn (between September and November for us southern hemispherians) at St George’s Chapel in Windsor – the same venue as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The couple beamed as they posed for their official engagement photos, with Eugenie showing off her stunning ring – a padparadscha sapphire surrounded by diamonds on a gold band.
The gorgeous sparkler bears a striking similarity to the Burmese ruby and diamond ring given to Eugenie’s mother, the Duchess of York, by Prince Andrew.
