Time and time again we hear of corporations bullying homeowners into selling their homes in order for them achieve their development plans.
Despite the amounts of money corporations have thrown at these homeowners to pack up and move, they have bravely stayed put and proved that the little guy does have some power.
Edith Macefield, the homeowner of the house pictured above, refused to sell her home even after being offered more than $1 million for it.
Her tenacity and stubbornness later became the inspiration for Disney’s Up.
