Young man meets 86-year-old woman he befriended on "Words with Friends"
An 86-year-old has become unlikely friends with a 22-year-old after playing more than 300 games of the popular smartphone “Words with Friends” app together.
The younger Spencer decided he liked his competitor Roz so much that he decided to fly all the way from New York City to Florida to meet her in person.
Sweet day today with Spencer and his #wordswithfriends friend, Roz, watching them bond in person for the first time. #relationshipschangeus pic.twitter.com/9sW0ojE318

The meet-up was shared on social media, and thanks in part to the help of a pastor in New York City who help facilitate the meeting of the somewhat unlikely friends.
She’s 86 & lives in a retirement community in Florida. He’s 22 and lives in Harlem. They met online playing #wordswithfriends. Tomorrow they’ll meet in person. I get to be there. #relationshipschangeus pic.twitter.com/xNJjK3ga6H

It just goes to show friendships sometimes spring up in the most unlikely places!
