Prince William & Prince Harry “not close” to Camilla

She’s been their stepmother for over a decade, but it appears Princes Harry and William still aren’t so keen on Camilla. While you probably have a good idea why, the reason may be a little more complicated.

You see, when Prince Charles comes King, the Duchess of Cornwall will become Princess Consort and not Queen. After they married in 2005, the place issued a statement saying, “It is intended that Mrs Parker Bowles should use the title HRH the Princess Consort when the Prince of Wales accedes to the throne.”

However, if Charles wants to make his wife Queen, it’s likely he would require the backing of William and Harry – and if recent reports are anything to go by, that mightn’t be an easy feat.

According to the Daily Star, the boys “are not close” to Camilla. In fact, one of Charles’ friends told the Daily Mail that even he has a somewhat strained relationship with his sons.

“He has little influence over the boys these days beyond the fact that he controls their money,” they said. “But he’s so absorbed with his own life, with Camilla and the extra work he is accumulating from the Queen and his father, he doesn’t have the time anyway.”
