Over60 Catch-ups are a great way to make new friends

Did you know Over60 recently launched a Catch-up section, a place where anyone from the Over60 community can organise a catch-up in their area or look for events coming up near them? It’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends with fellow Over60 members.

Over60 community member Nancy Knox organised her first catch-up in Mandurah in Western Australia recently.

“Our first catch-up was attended by six ladies and one very nice gentleman aged 84 (he looked 64!),” says Nancy, adding, “As this was the first catch up we found out if we lived locally and a little bit about each other.”

Nancy is looking forward to making the catch-up a regular meeting, with the second catch-up already scheduled for Monday 11 July. She encourages any over-60s looking to meet new people of a similar age to come along.

“If you are new to the area and want to meet a new group, or just want a chat and a coffee with a group of friendly new faces, you are more than welcome to join us,” she says.

The next Over60 Catch-up in Mandurah, Western Australia is on Monday July 11. Meet at 10.30am at the Tree of Life Cafe, 31 Sholl Street, Mandurah.
