Kylie Minogue to wed in Australia?

Recent reports are swirling that Australia’s pop sweetheart Kyle Minogue may be heading downunder to marry her partner Paul Solomons in 2021.

Having dated the creative director of British GQ magazine since 2018, 52-year-old Minogue appears to be very happy – and according to sources quoted by New Idea, the couple is in a coronavirus “love bubble” in London and have been discussing marriage.

So that she could be surrounded on her big day by hometown friends and family, the source claims Minogue wants a Melbourne wedding – but would not return if it was unsafe to do so.

“Family is so important to Kylie, so she wants her mum and dad and siblings to be at her wedding,” said the source. “She and Paul are monitoring the situation in Victoria closely because they obviously want to wait until they can fly home safely and not put anyone else at risk.”

After going public with their relationship, Minogue and Solomons were photographed out and about at various events before COVID lockdown struck – including Glastonbury Festival in 2019 and a British Film Institute event celebrating the work of actress Tilda Swinton earlier in 2020.

Minogue’s previous high-profile partners have included INXS rocker Michael Hutchence, Lenny Kravitz, French actor Olivier Martinez and Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan.

In 2016 Minogue announced she was engaged to English actor Joshua Sasse, but the engagement was called off in February 2017.
