Karl Stefanovic says he is "a better person" after marrying Jasmine Yarbrough
Karl Stefanovic has seen better times after he was brutally axed from the Today show at the end of last year.
But after a long hiatus, the 44-year-old is returning to the small screen with season two of This Time Next Year, which he revealed taught him plenty of life lessons.
Speaking to Nine Entertainment on Thursday, the TV personality said he’s made some changes over the past two years regarding his own personality, as he attempts to become a better person.
“If I’m presenting that show (This Time Next Year) then I’ve got to live by it as well,” he said.
“I’ve tried over the last 12 months to two years to be a better person and to try and be easier to live with and to try and make life easier for those around me and it’s a motto I continue to live by.”
The journalist said that despite his show focusing on yearly targets, he constantly aims to improve every day.
One major change that occurred in Karl’s life was his marriage to shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough, after his split with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn in 2016.
The former breakfast show host says that the interviewees that appear on This Time Next Year inspire him to achieve his goals, and even if they don’t reach their own, any progress is still a step forward.
“The view from the top of Mount Everest is great, but the view halfway up is also very good,” he said.
