Karl Stefanovic confirms engagement to Jasmine Yarbrough
For the last couple of weeks, the Australian media has been buzzing with rumours that Today host Karl Stefanovic, 43, has popped the question to his 34-year-old girlfriend, designer Jasmine Yarbrough.
Now, Stefanovic has finally broken his silence.
Speaking to TheFix, the father-of-three confirmed he is indeed engaged to Yarbrough, his girlfriend of just over a year.
“When Jasmine came into my life, I had no thoughts of new love or the future, but we are happy and grateful we found each other,” he gushed.
“We are yet to work out when we will get married, but probably later this year. We are both very happy.”
Stefanovic also took the opportunity to address some of the many rumours flying around about the engagement.
“Jas isn’t pregnant,” he said. “The ring was made by Nic Cerrone and didn’t cost $120,000. Those figures are ridiculous. And there is no media deal. Don’t believe everything you read.”
The confirmation comes just a week after Stefanovic’s ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn spoke out about the rumours, saying she is only focused on “helping those affected by the ever-changing landscape of my ex-husband’s life, to navigate it”.
“His engagement doesn’t register with me on any other level.”
