"Best proposal ever!" Guy Sebastian crashes romantic moment
Guy Sebastian has surprised one of his biggest fans by crashing her romantic proposal with an intimate performance.
The Australian Idol winner was called in to help Nathan, a KIISFM radio listener, propose to his girlfriend Steph, who is a huge Guy Sebastian fan.
Nathan called into the Kyle and Jackie O Show and shared his plans to pop the question, and asked the radio hosts if they could help make the proposal extra special.
The proposal began with the couple taking a romantic trip on a yacht around Sydney Harbour, as Nathan popped the question and Steph said yes.
Unbeknownst to Steph, her day was about to become even more special.
Sebastian had been hiding downstairs on the boat, and emerged to surprise the newly engaged couple with an intimate performance of his new song.
“They’ve been together for about six years now,” Guy explained in a video of the moment posted to the KIISFM Instagram page.
“Nathan’s been planning this for quite a while and he got in touch with KIIS to see if we could make it extra special for them."
“Hopefully Steph will say yes, then I’ll be popping up and singing a stripped-back version of my song I Chose Good.”
Steph was shocked and amazed when Guy emerged, as she was seen mouthing "Oh what?!" in surprise.
The video of the emotional moment has racked up thousands of views and comments of congratulations for the couple, with Guy's wife Jules even chiming in.
“I’m crying 😭 Congrats Nathan & Steph!” she wrote.
Others were feeling the same way, as one fan wrote,“That is just priceless! You are such an amazing human, Guy!”
“To give someone such a fabulous special occasion that they will treasure forever. You are such a legend!”
Another simply added, “Best proposal ever!!!”
