Horrified Sydney tradesman finds giant spider crawling up his arm

A Sydney tradesman got the fright of his life when a huge spider crawled up his arm at work. And by huge, we mean ginormous.

Jay Ayoub, 30, was pumping concrete on a property in Oyster Bay on Wednesday when the spider, believed to be an Australian tarantula, crawled onto his shoulder.

“I felt it crawling up my arm and seen it when it was near my shoulder. I'm not easily scared but was a little freaked about the size of it,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

“I grabbed it from the back like you would grab a crab,” he said.

He said the tarantula, also known as an Australian bird eating spider, was 'placid' when placed on a nearby tree.

The concreter posted a picture of the spider to social media on Wednesday, much to the terror of internet users.
