“Best $8 I’ve spent”: Mum shares Kmart cleaning hack

A mother has shared a clever hack for picking up small toys using a $8 product from Kmart.

Ange Dobbin explained that she had trouble picking up her son’s small Lego pieces around the house.

“Went and bought a pooper scooper today and it's the best $8 I have spent for picking up my son's Lego,” she explained on the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook page.

“BEST KMART HACK EVER! So doing that this week!” one mum commented under the post.

“I use mine for NERF bullets too,” added another.

More than 1,000 people have since ‘liked’ the post, suggesting that it is a common problem in households.

Some mothers also shared the clever ways they thought to pick up the tiny building blocks left lying around the house.

“Vacuum cleaner with a stocking over the end,” one said.

One mum suggested buying a cheap ‘kids play mat’ from eBay, with many of them being sold online for less than $20.

The mum said that once her children finish playing with the Lego, she folds the mat up into a small bag and places it in the corner for the next time they play with it.

Other mum’s said they used a bed sheet rather than ordering a specific play mat.
