Is judge Pete Evans leaving My Kitchen Rules?

He recently announced he'd be joining Better Homes and Gardens as a regular chef on the show – so does this mark the end of judge Pete Evans on My Kitchen Rules?

Speaking to TV Week, the MKR judge opened up about his nine-years on the popular cooking show and the toll it has taken on his family.

"What I love most is to spend time with my family. That's always my priority," the chef said, adding the toughest part of filming the show was being away from his wife, Nicola Robinson, and his two daughters, Chilli, 13, and Indii, 11.

"There's a lot of travelling involved in this job that is unlike anything else," he said.

Fellow judge Manu Feildel has already expressed his uncertainty about whether he will return for another season on the show, and now it seems Pete may also follow in his footsteps.

"Manu's my best mate," Pete says, admitting the show wouldn’t be the same without Manu.

"We have a tremendous rapport together. And I think it's part of the DNA of the show. We have been there from the start."
