Apple tart
This French-provincial style dessert is perfect parts sweet, crunchy and soft. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- Packet sweet flan pastry
- 6 to 8 medium cooking apples
- 1 tablespoon water
- ½ cup caster sugar
- ¼ cup brandy (or 2 teaspoons vanilla essence)
- 30 g butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar, extra
Apricot glaze
- ½ cup apricot jam
- 1 tablespoon water
