The surprising person who will meet the royal baby before the Queen

The world is waiting with baited breath for the arrival of a new royal baby. And while we’ll have to wait our turn to meet the new arrival, there’s one civilian who gets to come face-to-face with the bundle of joy even before the Queen does.

Yahoo7 reports the Duchess’ personal hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, will be one of the first people to meet the royal baby, who will tend Kate’s lock after the birth.

A similar situation was in place after Prince George’s arrival in 2013, and Princess Charlotte’s birth in 2015, and Tucker is reportedly one of Kate’s most trusted confidants.

The Duchess was notoriously quick out of the hospital following her previous births, leaving the Lindo Wing just 10 hours after welcoming Princess Charlotte to the world, and Tucker is reportedly one of the first people called into the ward.

All eyes will be on Duchess Kate, Prince William and the new baby when they go to greet the press, so it’s understandable that she doesn’t want to have to worry about her hair.

“Amanda is an expert at what Kate loves - full glossy blow dries that hold,” a source told Daily Mail.
