The royal baby tradition Duchess Meghan is planning to break

When Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan revealed that they were expecting their first child in the UK springtime, royal fans around the world rejoiced over the happy news.

Now, it has been revealed that the protocol-breaking couple may steer away from tradition during the birth.

A royal correspondent has revealed that the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly reading up on hypnobirthing and could even consider giving birth in their new Windsor home.

Although Duchess Kate gave birth to all her three children at the Lindo Wing at London’s St Mary’s Hospital, Meghan may opt for another choice.

The Lindo Wing, also where Prince William and Harry were born, costs £7,500 and offers luxurious perks to its patients, including having the finest champagne on its menu.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, royal correspondent Katie Nicholl has said there is “some talk” of Meghan having the baby at Frogmore Cottage.

Although it’s her first child, so doctors could recommend a hospital birth, the royal insider claims that Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland will be encouraging “a natural birth”.

“Doria plans to be around a lot when the baby arrives, and there are plans for her to have a dedicated space at their new home,” Katie said.

“She wants to be on hand to help Meghan and Harry with the baby. Doria will be involved and if she's involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth.”

Meghan’s mum is a yoga instructor and the Duchess herself has admitted her love for early morning mediation.

The 37-year-old pregnant Duchess is still attending engagements and recently made a surprise solo visit to King’s College London to discuss how higher education can help to tackle global issues.
