The one thing Duchess Kate has that Princess Diana never got to experience
The late Princess Diana continues to influence her sons' lives, even after she has gone. This is shown through the parenting choices and fashion styling of Prince William's wife Duchess Kate.
The mum-of-three continues to show that she is a hands-on and loving parent, which is something that Princess Diana was known for.
However, one thing that the late Princess would have loved to experience was having a baby girl in the family.
Former royal butler Paul Burrell was a part of the late Princess Diana’s household from 1987. In the 2017 Amazon Prime documentary The Diana Story, he said: “To have another baby girl in the family would have made everything for Diana.
"She was robbed of the opportunity of loving her grandchildren – especially Charlotte.
“She would have loved Kate, too.”
With Princess Charlotte’s full name being Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, Prince William’s mother is still having a large impact on the family.
For some, it might be a sad reminder that the two will never meet. However, with the Duchess of Sussex’s nod to the mother-in-law she never got the chance to know, it’s confirmed that her presence is still remembered.
