Duchess Kate’s cheeky Christmas gift to Prince Harry

Although they have plenty of wealth to spare, the Royal Family have one interesting rule when it comes to the gifts they exchange at Christmas.

Rather than splurging on expensive products, the royals exchange cheap and hilarious gag gifts at Sandringham House on Christmas Eve.

And it turns out, Duchess Kate made the room erupt into fits of laughter after Prince Harry opened the present she picked for him one year.

Before he was in a relationship with Meghan, Kate bought her brother-in-law a grow-your-own girlfriend.

Playfully poking fun at Harry’s love life, Kate got him the cheap gift which grows up to six times its size.

Reportedly, Kate would set Harry up on blind dates in his younger years and when he met Meghan, he sought approval from his sister-in-law.

Royal reporter Katie Nicholl said of the duo’s bond: “Harry and Kate are very close, she’s been like a mentor to him and he wanted her seal of approval.”

“Kate is different to Meghan in many ways but she has made great strides to help Meghan settle in.”

According to the Daily Star Online, last year Meghan gifted the Queen a singing toy hamster.

Although the gift was a risk, it left Her Majesty in “hysterics”.

“It was so funny, especially when the corgis tried to take hold of the toy,” a royal insider told the publication.

“[The Queen] laughed and said, ‘They can keep my dogs company!’"

The hilarious gift exchange takes place at 6 pm in the red drawing room.
