Donald Trump’s children share childhood photos to celebrate his 72nd birthday
Tributes have poured in from Donald Trump’s children in honour of the US President’s 72nd birthday.
Ivanka, the President’s eldest daughter and senior advisor, took to social media on Thursday to share a series of childhood photos of herself and Trump.
She wrote: “Happy birthday Dad! I love you very much. Wishing you your best year yet!!!”
She shared three throwback photos of her as a small girl smiling with her father at different events, including a baseball match.
Eric Trump also shared a series of old and new photos with the caption: “Happy Birthday Dad! It is amazing how far we have all come! We are very proud of you and everything you have accomplished!”
Eric’s photos included him and his father walking at the White House and another with the President’s youngest grandson, Luke.
Donald Trump Jr, Trump’s eldest son, shared a screenshot of a Drudge Report with the headline “TRUMP’S BEST BIRTHDAY!”, that also mentions the economy, North Korea, the World Cup and the jobless rate.
He also shared a photo of the family and wrote: “A great throwback and a cool family shot to wish my dad @realdonaldtrump a very happy birthday. Watching what you’re accomplishing every day makes me more and more proud of you.”
The President’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, also shared a family snap on Instagram to celebrate his birthday.
“Happy Birthday Mr. President/Grandpa! We love you and are so proud of you!" she wrote.
Trump is the oldest President to be sworn in for a first term. Before Trump, Ronald Reagan was the oldest, being sworn in as Commander in Chief at the age of 69.
