Uh-oh! Woman is shamed for wearing a white lace dress to a wedding

It’s a rule as old as time, and one that everyone knows they need to stick to – don’t wear white to a wedding.

But it seems not everyone likes to play by the rules, as one woman decided that showing up to a friend’s wedding in a floor-length white gown was a good idea.

Taking to Facebook, the offender asked for style advice for what hair and makeup will go best with the lace dress, and the response wasn’t as positive as she had hoped.

“Ladies, can I get some hair and makeup suggestions for this dress? I'm attending a destination wedding next week. P.S… my hair is brown, and I have straight bangs. Tyia,” she wrote alongside the photo of her wearing the bridal-looking outfit.

To no one’s surprise, the post was screenshotted and then shared in a group called “That’s it, I’m wedding shaming” for people to slam the guest for her choice of attire.

"HELL NO. If she attends a wedding in that, she better expect to be immediately escorted out,” wrote one commenter.

“Why is it so hard for people to just not wear white for a few hours,” wrote another.

Another suggested: “Omg she would be getting thrown in the sea on that destination wedding.”

One person refused to give her the benefit of the doubt, saying, “She knows exactly what she’s doing.”

“This is exactly the kind of outfit someone would wear who was trying to stop a wedding.”
