Serena Williams is always the best dressed athlete on court, so it’s only natural that fans were eagerly anticipating what the tennis champion would choose to wear at the Australian Open.
After causing an uproar in June last year for wearing a catsuit at the French Open, then following that controversy by donning a tutu at the US Open, the 37-year-old knows how to get people talking.
The mother-of-one has decided to rebel against those who go against her fashion statements and stray away from traditional tennis outfits to more eye-catching styles.
The catsuit was originally worn to help her with blood clots, but tennis officials deemed the full-length attire as “too far”.
And this Australian Open, she did not disappoint, as she opted for a Nike ‘90s-inspired-romper, with fishnet stockings underneath.
