Duchess Meghan's New York fashion style – how it's different from London
Duchess Meghan has let her hair down for her baby shower in New York.
Throughout her travels in the US, the Duchess of Sussex relaxed her royal standard of dressing and opted for dark, more practical clothes and trendier accessories.
Apart from swapping her usual elegant dresses and skirts for jeans and leggings, she also donned larger tote bags and at one point wore a pair of Adidas sneakers.
The Duchess celebrated her baby shower at a party on Wednesday at the Mark Hotel with around 20 of her closest friends, including Amal Clooney, Gayle King, Serena Williams and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
The US$300,000 (AUD$422,580) event was coordinated by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events, who planned Williams' wedding with Alexis Ohanian in 2017, while the food was supplied by Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
The mini-homecoming trip came before the Duchess of Sussex's three-day visit to Morocco with her husband Prince Harry. The Duchess’ first baby is expected to arrive in late April.
