The best anti-ageing make-up look you can do at home
Make-up trends come and go, but it’s rare to find one that suits (and even complements) ageing skin. Thankfully, one of the biggest trends this year suits all ages and brings out your face’s most youthful features.
Rae Morris, Make-up Director at Priceline Pharmacy has put together an easy, fast and flattering makeup look that won’t make you look older than you are. How? By using earth tones. “This trend is all about making you look healthy and enhancing natural beauty,” she tells Yours magazine. “It’s an anti-ageing look that makes any eye colour pop, and the neutral shades make it a timeless trend.”
This light, subtle look transitions perfectly from day to night and only requires a few products. Here’s how to do it.
You will need:
- Foundation (Rae uses L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation)
- Bronzer (Rae uses Natio Mineral Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sun Swept)
- Concealer (Rae uses L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Concealer Palette)
- A nude eyeshadow palette (Rae uses Nude by Nature Eyeshadow Trio in Nude)
- A nude eye pencil (Rae uses Nude by Nature Contour Eye Pencil in Sunrise)
- Mascara (Rae uses Nude by Nature Allure Defining Mascara in Black)
- A warm, earthy neutral lip colour (Rae uses Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipcolour in Desert)
Get the look:
- Use a light-application foundation, then add some warmth with bronzer on the cheekbones and around the hairline.
- Apply concealer under the eyes, particularly to the inner corners and outer edges, to give them a natural lift.
- Apply an earthy tone eyeshadow to your eyelids, then use a nude eye pencil in the inner waterline, before using the same eyeshadow along the lower lash line for definition.
- Curl the lashes and apply mascara.
- Finish the look with a lip colour in a warm, neutral tone.
