This woman's incredible memory will blow your mind
Interview presenter Andrew Denton has put one woman’s remarkable memory to the test.
In a preview for tonight’s Channel 7 interview, Rebecca Sharrock’s memory is challenged by audience members as they ask her to finish random lines from the Harry Potter books.
One audience member begins by reading a passage from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Rebecca, without any hesitation, then completes the passage, reciting every line word for word.
Two more audience members read out lines from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Rebecca again is able to recite the paragraphs perfectly.
The 28-year-old is just one of only 60 people in the world with Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory (HSAM). The unique condition allows Rebecca to remember any day of her life as if it only happened yesterday.
Rebecca can also remember what happened in the world on any given day.
However, Andrew Denton discovers that her remarkable gift can also have its consequences.
