Prince Philip rushed to hospital palace confirms

Prince Philip has been admitted to hospital after he said he was feeling unwell, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

The Duke of Edinburgh was taken to King Edward VII Hospital in central London on Tuesday evening strictly as a precaution.

The 99-year-old has been feeling unwell for a number of days, however reports say his illness is not linked to coronavirus.

The Duke reportedly remains in ”good spirits” in the hospital, while the Queen is at Windsor Castle.

The Duke is set to celebrate his 100th birthday in June – an occasion which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rumoured to be returning to the UK for.

The Duke retired from public service in 2017 at the age of 96 and is rarely seen out in public unless he is in arms with his wife.
