Johnny Ruffo reunites with “bestie” during cancer battle

Johnny Ruffo has taken to Instagram to share a photo with his former co-star, melting the hearts of fans across the nation.

The star is currently battling brain cancer and is clearly taking time to catch up with those who mean the most to him, including former co-star and friend Lynne McGranger.

“Always a pleasure catching up with this beautiful lady,” Johnny captioned his snap.

Lynne’s partner Paul McWaters also tagged along.

The 32-year-old opened up about his cancer battle in November 2020, sharing that he had been in remission for about a year.

“After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,” he wrote at the time.

“Though I will dig deep and beat this s**t disease again.”

Johnny announced in August 2017 he had undergone surgery to remove a brain tumour.

It was revealed to him after he had been hospitalised for a migraine.

He praised his friends, family and fans for their continuous support.

“It’s about the support group around you, and not being afraid to ask for help,” Ruffo said on The Morning Show at the time.

“It’s not just related to my experience with cancer. Everyone goes through something that’s tough, that they might feel is too hard to handle on their own.

“And when you do go through these things, there’s always someone to help you.”
