Cher offers up her own home to Ukrainian refugees
Singer, songwriter and actress Cher has taken to Twitter with an offer to take in Ukrainian refugees in her luxury home as Russia's invasion of the country continues.
The award-winning superstar, aged 75, told how she wants to open up her home to "traumatised" families as the war rages on in Ukraine. She went on to say that “many people in my position need to step up to the plate”.
"If you are seriously interested please let me know and perhaps we can help each other. Bless you," one person replied to her post and offer, adding alongside an emoji of the Ukrainian flag. "Thank you so much for raising visibility."
Cher lives in her home in Malibu which she purchased in the early 1990s for around $1.5 million. The luxurious home features six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and boasts a very impressive 16,000 square footage.
