Turia Pitt shows off baby bump on the red carpet
In June, Turia Pitt revealed she was expecting her first child with fiancé Michael Hoskin.
Now 32 weeks pregnant, Turia proudly showed off her bump while attending the Women of the Future awards in Sydney on Wednesday night.
The inspirational burns survivor is expecting a boy and couldn’t conceal her joy as she posed for photos at the event.
In 2011, Turia defied the odds to survive after she was caught in a horrific Western Australia bushfire.
The engineer and motivational speaker wore a pastel pink dress with nude coloured shoes.
The event was hosted by the Australian Women’s Weekly and the awards focus on highlighting the “phenomenal women making Australia a better place”.
A panel which included Lisa Wilkinson, Ita Buttrose and Lucy Turnbull awarded three women for their displays of talent, ambition and selflessness.
Turia posed alongside Sara Leonardi-McGrath, wife of former cricketer and cancer awareness campaigner Glenn McGrath.
Turia discovered she was pregnant while she was in Nepal, a few days prior to her embarking to the Mount Everest Base Camp.
She told 60 Minutes she took six pregnancy tests before sharing the news with Michael.
"I had a mouthful of toothpaste," Michael said.
"I couldn’t really say much but I knew what was going on and I was just – I was like wow I can’t believe it!"
