The best exercise to help improve hip and pelvic stability

It's all in the hip - dancing, running, walking, climbing stairs. Our hips carry us throughout the day. Maintaining flexibility and stability are equally important for this area of the body and closely connected to happy knees and lower backs.

Also important is strengthening - did you know that the simple practice of standing on one leg increases the weight bearing on the hip by two and a half times the body weight? This is what we'll be practicing in this video using a couple of different standing yoga balances holding on to a chair. Weight bearing is also an excellent practice for osteoporosis prevention.
