Sam Frost speaks out on ‘anxiety triggered weight loss’

Home and Away star Sam Frost has revealed that she has been suffering from “anxiety triggered weight loss” following the backlash she received on her anti-vax video last month.

The actress recently went back on her reluctance to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and has taken to Instagram with some tips on “how to regain your appetite” during stressful times.

“Anything is better than nothing, even if it’s ‘unhealthy’ - McDonald’s Chicken Burgers for me,” the Bachelorette star wrote over a selfie.

“Start small, small nibbles throughout the day. If you’re struggling to eat, try smoothies,” she continued.

The 32-year-old also suggested eating with a friend as “social environments can help”, as well as reducing caffeine and resting your body.

“Speak to a psychologist and/or doctor to find the core root of the issue. Be kind and gentle to yourself.”

She concluded by urging her followers to seek medical advice for further help.

“These are tips from my psych. Remember everyone is different, these may help you. But always speak to your doctor or psychologist for individual health advice.”

Her candid post comes several weeks after the actress sparked a wave of controversy over her vaccine stance following the announcement from Channel 7 that all staff would need to be vaccinated.

Frost is currently filming Home and Away in Sydney, but has revealed that her character has been temporarily “written out” so that she could get vaccinated.

She added that she would be fully vaccinated in “mid-late February” after she undergoes a “medical procedure” booked in January.

“I will be written out temporarily, Jazzy is going on an off-screen adventure for a few weeks, but I’ll be back,” Frost wrote, referring to her character on the soap, Jasmine.

“My bosses are amazing, we’ve been in open communication for months,” she continued.

“Very grateful we were able to make a plan that works for everyone.”

The actress originally sparked furor after sharing an emotional video in which she said she was unvaccinated.

She said she was motivated to make the video because of a rise in “segregation, a lot of harsh judgement” between those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated.

“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society - well I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not, I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private,” she said in the now-deleted Instagram video.

Her clip drew criticism from fellow Bachelor star Matt Agnew, the Bachelorette’s Abbie Chatfield, and Studio 10 hosts Sarah Harris and Beau Ryan.
