Katherine Kelly Lang surprises Bold and the Beautiful Aussie superfan
Katherine Kelly Lang has come to the Land Down Under to give a generous gift to an Aussie superfan.
The Bold and the Beautiful star appeared on Studio 10 on Wednesday to greet 32-year-old Adelaide woman Sammie, who is an avid viewer of the daytime drama.
Sammie shared that she has a tattoo of five characters on her arm: Brooke Logan – who is played by Lang – along with Stephanie Forrester, Eric Forrester, Sally Spectra and Ridge Forrester.
Lang rewarded Sammie with tickets to visit the show’s set in Los Angeles.
“As you know, The Bold and the Beautiful is very popular throughout the world,” Lang told Sammie through a video link.
“But we wouldn’t be here, we wouldn’t be doing the show if it weren’t for our loyal, lovely wonderful fans.
“Sammie’s a superfan, she’s been watching forever and has seen almost every episode and of course she shows her love for the show in interesting ways with her favourite characters.
“So we have chosen you among so many amazing fans … to come take a flight to Los Angeles and stay for three nights. You can join us on set and we’ll give you a little tour!”
Lang shared that she is personally paying out of her own pocket to provide this opportunity to the fan.
“This is something we – my sweetie [partner Dominique Zoida] and I – personally want to do for my fans … to show our love to the fans and to show how much we care about them and their love and their support.”
The 57-year-old said she was “impressed” by Sammie’s tattoo.
“I’m not saying that everybody should go out and get tattoos of The Bold and the Beautiful on their arms, but it’s beautiful on you and you’re so brave and so amazing to do that,” she said.
Lang said she will come to Australia four more times this year. She also participated in this year’s season of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here.
