Edwina Bartholomew shares beautiful first photo of baby bump
Sunrise reporter Edwina Bartholomew and her husband Neil Varcoe are expecting their first child together.
She announced the news on Wednesday on Sunrise, much to the joy of her co-workers.
In particular, David Koch couldn’t contain his excitement declaring, “How exciting! I love a baby!” whilst reaching over to give her a congratulatory hug.
Edwina then followed up her exciting announcement by sharing a video of her ultrasound with her followers on Instagram, with a cheeky caption saying: “What initially presented as an over consumption of croissants, has turned out to be something a little more permanent #itsababy."
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement with the video being viewed over 104,000 times.
Today, Edwina shared the first snap of her baby bump which shows just how far along she is.
She captioned the photo thanking everyone for their well wishes.
“Well, that escalated quickly. Thank you so much for all the wonderful well wishes we have received over the past 24 hours. @neilwrites and I are overwhelmed with love. Thanks also to @chloepaulphoto for keeping our secret and for capturing this beautiful shot of my expanding waistline xx.”
Fans were quick to wish her well in her pregnancy.
One fan commented saying, “Congratulations to the both of you, wishing you all the best for the next few months”.
Another offered their congratulations to the couple saying, “Congratulations to both you and Neil. Such happy exciting times ahead.”
Edwina and her husband Neil got married in April 2018 after seven years of dating in an intimate ceremony in their Warramba property. The ceremony was in front of 160 close friends and family.
Neil also shared his thanks for the sweet reaction over the couple's exciting baby news.
"Thank you for the kind well wishes. We can't wait to add to our little family," he wrote.
