This free event could make retires $30,000 richer

At times, it can feel as though this generation of retirees are walking into a hopeless situation where retired life is much tougher than for previous generations. But today’s retired seniors have more opportunity than ever to boost their income.

The only tricky thing is knowing where to look.

The good news is a group of Australia’s leading businesses in the sharing economy have come together to teach seniors how to boost their income by $30,000 a year.

The free event celebrating Global Sharing Economy Week, which will take place on Sunday June 4, in Pyrmont, Sydney, will feature representatives from CarNextDoor, Spacer, Mad Paws, Zoom2u, FoodByUs, Camplify and Airtasker, with an aim to teach retired seniors how they can use these businesses to boost their own retirement income.

There will be booths and talks with founders and success stories who have used their spare assets over multiple platforms to make up to $30,000 in extra income a year.

The event takes place from 11am to 4pm, so if you’re in town and you would like to learn how to make an extra dollar or two, make sure you check it out.

The event takes place at 55 Pyrmont Bridge Road, Pyrmont, Sydney, 2009, Sunday, 4th June, 2017, 11am to 4pm.
