Why Kmart is under fire for this popular product

With the busy Christmas shopping season just around the corner, Kmart has come under fire for a popular product that’s causing major problems for parents.

Kmart’s Slimy Super Brain Putty is a product that’s going to be on the Christmas wish-lists of plenty of kids around Australia this year, but parents are at a loss to figure out how to remove the goo and the stains it leaves behind on children’s clothing.

Melbourne mum Kylie Wilson posted on Facebook after the putty became stuck to her daughter’s dress, showing just how much of a mess the product caused.

“It melted off with boiling water but has left a sticky residue behind. I have soaked it orange oil,” Kylie told Be. “I’m just glad it wasn’t in her hair!”

“A friend of my sons gave him some to play with,” wrote another mum. “I could not get it out of his pyjamas or the bed sheets. It came out of his hair three days later (and that was after repeated washing his hair). Stay away from this at all costs!”

As the number of mums who have fallen foul of the goo continues to rise, some have suggested solutions like freezing it, cleaning it with vinegar or rubbing alcohol, or evening soaking it in Coke in a bid to try and dissolve the substance.

What advice would you suggest?
