Massive Coles sale sends shoppers into a frenzy

If you need to stock up the freezer, this might be the right time as frozen food has been marked down at Coles.

The nationwide sale in the frozen food section, which applies in-store, saw the prices slashed of a popular frozen chip brand by more than half.

Bags of Birds Eye Deli Seasoned Chips are being sold for 98 cents, down from the usual RRP of $3.50.

The sale has excited bargain hunters, with some grabbing the coveted items in large numbers.

“Just bought them all out at my store!” a shopper shared.

“Just got back from Coles, stocked up on frozen potato items,” another added.

One said, “Thank you to whoever shared the post about the cheap chips, good to know they are available in WA too, just went to Coles Alkimos Trinity and they have a full freezer.”

A Coles spokesperson told news.com.au that the supermarket is “clearing space for an exciting new range of products that are set to land in stores across Australia over the next couple of weeks”.

The new range of products may also hit the shelves in Woolworths, which slashed the prices for select freezer items for one day last week. Online delivery and pick-up shoppers were able to get products from ice cream to frozen dinners at half price.
