ALDI madness! Shoppers are going crazy over latest freezer find
German supermarket giant ALDI has just released a must-have for any shopper looking for a good storage solution for their freezer.
The bargain buy – the Crofton freezer containers – come in a pack of three in a variety of shapes and sizes priced at just $6.99.
The Instagram account ALDI Lovers Australia posted the find to its 86,000 cult following writing: “Spotted these freezer containers today and they would also be awesome for meal prepping.”
The containers, priced at just $2.33 each, have a section where you can write what is inside each container.
While the affordable buy was a must-have to some customers, some of those who purchased the storage solution when they were initially released a few years back were not convinced of it’s usefulness.
“I had them last year. I won’t recommend you getting them. No good,” one shopper wrote, adding they felt the lids changed shape after a few years of usage.
Another customer wrote the containers were not microwavable so it “defeats the purpose".
However, others recommended the product.
“I’ve had mine for over a year mainly to freeze stuff and have found them fine I take the lid off and use a microwave cover anyways, so lids are no issue,” one user wrote.
Another added: “I’ve had mine for ages, and they are still fine. I still recommend them.”
These freezer containers are BPA free and are freezer and dishwasher safe, despite shoppers being mixed on how safe they would be going into a microwave.
