Lleyton Hewitt slams “out of control” rumours that his marriage is in trouble
Lleyton Hewitt has today rubbished “out of control” rumours his marriage to Bec Hewitt is in trouble, slamming women’s magazines for their constant reports on the couple’s relationship.
Speaking to the Today Show this morning, the 36-year-old gushed about his wife of 12 years, revealing that he couldn’t be happier.
“We've got three beautiful kids and we couldn't be happier,” he said. “We've moved to Melbourne and we feel very comfortable.”
Lleyton told the breakfast show the couple just ignore the negative gossip and rumours.
“You've got to try and just black it out as much as possible. Obviously, it's annoying and frustrating because it is just pure lies every week,” he said.
“The worst thing out there is people out there actually believe some of it ... it's gotten out of control now, it really is an absolute joke.”
Host Karl Stefanovic wholeheartedly agreed, calling the magazines who published stories about the couple to go “get stuffed”.
Earlier this month Bec and Lleyton were forced to deny a Woman’s Day report they were “leading separate lives”.
“The Woman's Day article is a complete fabrication and has no basis in truth,” a spokesperson for the couple told Daily Mail Australia.
The Hewitts have three children – Mia, 11, Cruz, eight and Ava, six.
