Hey Hey It’s Saturday ran for 27 years ending in 1999, before the show was revived for two reunion specials in 2009.
The show’s success was undeniable with audience peaking at 2.64 million viewers.
The show featured a range of sketches, celebrity guests and audience participation which kept viewers coming back for more and more.
Much of the light-hearted entertainment came from the quick banter between host Daryl Somers and voiceover man John Blackman, who created Dickie Knee.
