Where the original Full House cast are now

It’s been 20 years since the Tanners graced our screens on Full House, and Netflix premiered the spin-off program Fuller House in late February. But what have the actors that we all fell in love with been up to since we last saw them?

John Stamos - Uncle Jesse

After Full House ended, John Stamos played a doctor on ER for three years. He also popped in on a number of other popular programs including Glee, Law & Order: SVU and Two and a Half Men. Currently he can be found on comedy program Grandfathered and is set to star in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.

Bob Saget - Danny Tanner

The much-loved dad of the show, Saget ended up switching sides from actor to director after Full House. He also did some work on How I Met Your Mother (he is the voice of the future Ted Mosby). He appeared as himself on four episodes of Entourage and toured Australia recently with his own stand up show.

Dave Coulier- Joey Gladstone

Since Uncle Joey moved out of the alcove, Coulier has been busy hosting programs such as America’s Funniest People;voicing characters on films like Yogi Bear and the Magical Flight of the Spruce Goose; and touring as a stand up comedian.

Candace Cameron-Bure - D.J. Tanner

Cameron stayed in TV, starring in Cybill and Boy Meets World. She took some time off to start a family, later co-hosting The View. She has written three books, including the New York Times bestseller

Reshaping It All: Motivation for Physical and Spiritual Fitness.

Jodie Sweetin - Stephanie Tanner

Sweetin finished high school after Full House, and later did some more TV work both as a host and actor. She later appeared in two independent films, Port City and Redefining Love. Sweetin also wrote her own story - called unsweetened – it outlines her struggle with drugs and alcohol after she finished working on Full House.

Mary-Kate and Ashely Olson - Michelle Tanner

The now famous twins shared the role of youngest sister Michelle. After the show ended, the Olsens released several straight to video films, and starred in some sitcoms. They then decided to focus on their fashion careers, which has paid off with Forbes estimating their combined net worth in 2007 as $US100 million. The twins are the only stars not to come back to the show for the spin off Fuller House.

Lori Loughlin - Rebecaa Donaldon Katsopolis

Loughlin worked on some sitcoms and small films after Full House, before guest starring in Suddenly Susan, Spin City, Seinfeld and The Drew Carey Show. She also co-starred in the first three seasons of 90210 – a spin off of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Andrea Barber - Kimmy Gibbler

DJ’s best friend Kimmy ended up retiring from acting after the show finished. She married and had two children, and has since divorced.

Scott Weiner - Steve Hale

The actor who played DJ’s boyfriend Steve ended up having a few guest appearances on TV, but spent most of his time as a writer and producer for TV. He worked on programs such as Like Family, What I Like About You, and 90210.

Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilholt- Nicky and Alex

The brothers starred as the twin sons of Jessie and Becky in 70 episodes of Full House over three years. They both moved away from acting after the program wrapped.
