5 TV shows ending in 2016

From Mythbusters to Downton Abbey, some of the most interesting and dramatic TV shows are coming to a close in 2016.

1. Mythbusters

Recently there was an announcement confirming that season 15 is to be the final one which is a shame for those who enjoy watching others put themselves in challenging situations defying science and mastering the art of entertainment.

2. Downton Abbey

It’s the drama that created quite the stir across televisions with its intricate love triangles, family disputes and social hierarchies. Sadly, Downton Abbey season 6 is to be the grand finale. Luckily for fan, there are rumours that a movie could follow.

3. Mike & Molly

It’s the sitcom that made us laugh at all things unconventional. Like all true love stories, this one had a great start for two people who shared the same interests, that being food. The show follows the lover’s attempts to support and encourage each other to lose weight. Seeing the comedy didn’t catch on as well as it should, it was cancelled soon after delaying season 6.

4. The Mentalist

It’s a sad time for TV especially as we all have to say goodbye to Australian star Simon Baker, who plays the lead role, Patrick Jane – a former psychic who teams up with officials to solve crimes. Jam-packed with action, drama, intrigue and twists, there is talk that The Mentalist could be picked up by another network or cable outlet.

5. Bones

There’s no confirmation that this show has been cancelled just yet, but there’s heavy speculation that it will be coming to an end in 2016. One of the stars from the show, David Boreanaz, told E! after this season he is leaving.
