Tracy Grimshaw responds to TV return rumours

Tracy Grimshaw has responded to rumours claiming that she is returning to A Current Affair, and working on a “secret project” with TV execs.

On Tuesday, Woman’s Day magazine claimed that according to an insider, Grimshaw was preparing for her TV return in a few low-key meetings with Nine execs.

The veteran presenter took to Twitter to respond to the claims denying any “sneaky meetings”, as she hasn’t returned to the headquarters since she left last November.

“This is not true,” she tweeted.

“I’m not coming back to ACA, I haven’t been into the office this year, no sneaky meetings, and I’ve always said I may do something else next year, that hasn’t changed.”

The report also claimed that Grimshaw misses “the thrill of TV” and that she might not be ready to leave the entertainment industry after all.

"She has so much time on her hands and has been watching Ally flourish, and it's made her miss the thrill of TV. She's started to think that maybe she isn't done after all,” the outlet claimed.

Grimshaw was the host of A Current Affair for 17 years before her exit, and has since been replaced by Ally Langdon.
