Samantha Armytage hints at new romance: “There are good things happening”

Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage has hinted in an interview about a new romance.

Speaking to Who magazine, the presenter obligingly discussed the topic but kept a lot of information hidden, saying that “good things” are happening in her life.

When asked if she was seeing someone, the 41-year-old said: “There are good things happening. I don't talk about anyone before I'm 100 per cent sure, because you have got to keep some things private.

“I give a lot of myself for four hours a day so there has to be some stuff you keep private.”

Sam also said that she “doesn’t think about starting a family or having children” at this point in life.

“No, it's not something I think about,” she said in the interview.

Her comments follow her saying in 2016 that she wanted children “in the next few years”.

Speaking to Woman’s Day at the time, she said starting a family was something she wanted.

“I’m not pregnant now but, you know, I would like to think that in the next couple of years I could be," she said.

“It would be really lovely to meet someone and to think that might happen.”

Samantha has kept her love life out of the public eye after splitting with hotelier Peter De Angelis in 2012.

She started dating De Angelis after breaking up with long-term builder boyfriend Sean in 2011.
