Jessica Rowe shares sweet pic with Denise Drysdale
Jessica Rowe has shown that she and Denise Drysdale are ‘two peas in a pod’ as she shared a hilarious picture on Instagram.
The photo shows the 49-year-old dressed in a pea pod costume sitting with her former Studio 10 colleague Drysdale, who dons blue pyjamas with bandages wrapped around her thigh, arms and head.
“One of the great joys of my life is my friendship with Neesy! We love to laugh, and chat AND chat!” Rowe wrote in the caption before promoting their upcoming live podcast show One Fat Lady and One Thin Lady.
The two first met at the Channel 10 morning show and became best friends afterwards.
“How would I describe Jess? She is the most wonderful human being,” Drysdale told 7.30 in May.
The 70-year-old presenter said she “would have been lonely” if she hadn’t met Rowe.
“I know she’s thinking of me, even if she doesn’t ring. So just to have that later in life, it’s terrific. It’s wonderful.”
Drysdale also said Rowe came to look after her when she was dealing with her health problems.
“I had a detached retina, I had a knee replacement, then I got blood clots in the thing,” Drysdale said. “But Jess came up a couple of times to look after me and she was so attentive and it was really lovely to have.”
Rowe said, “For friends it’s about showing up and turning up when people need you because it’s very easy to do that when everything is great and fantastic.
“But it’s also about showing up when someone is going through a really hard time and loving them and caring and just being there, come what may.”
