Grant Denyer faces another blow after I'm A Celeb loss

Channel 10 has made changes to its programming schedule.

And unfortunately for Grant Denyer, Celebrity Name Game has reportedly been axed, which will most likely come as a blow for the Gold Logie-winner after his defeat on I'm A Celeb this week.

Late last year it was reported that Dancing With The Stars would not be returning in 2021, which Denyer hosted with Amanda Keller.

“We have decided to hang up our dancing shoes, lycra pants and sequined jackets for the time being,” a network spokesperson said at the time.

“We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all those involved in the show, in particular Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer, who were fabulous hosts, as well as all the judges, dancers, the stars and of course the crew.”

According to TV Tonight, three other major shows have also been axed.

The WAG reality show Playing for Keeps was on the list, with the Head of Programming Daniel Monoghan telling the publication that, after two seasons, it's "not coming back.

Also on the list is Kyle Sandilands courtroom reality show Trial by Kyle.

The show sought inspiration from Judge Judy, with contestants asking for help for their petty grievances from Kyle and lawyer/Bachelor alum Anna Heinrich.

Monaghan said it was Kyle's decision to not return to the show, saying: “He hates it. He talks about it on the radio. It’s not coming back. Just ask him! I really liked it and I like Kyle, but it’s not returning,” said Monaghan.

The iconic children's show Totally Wild is also set to end after airing for 29 years.

It's reported that its sister show Scope also getting the boot.

A Network 10 spokesperson told the publication:

“Network 10 today informed staff that Totally Wild and Scope will no longer be produced, which will result in a reduction of roles.”

“Network 10 remains committed to creating and producing local children’s content, but its strategy has evolved to include the development and production of more children’s drama programs.

“The Network 10 children’s department will remain an integral part of the business and will remain based in Brisbane.

“As a result of these shows no longer being produced, some on-air presenters and production staff will leave Network 10. The network would like to thank those people for their dedication and hard work.

“No further details are available at this stage.”
