"Get the medic": Grant Denyer collapses in first-look trailer for Amazing Race

The Amazing Race Australia is back and more dramatic than ever, after Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer collapsed on set, needing medical attention.

The first-look teaser of the celebrity edition of the reality show has come out, and showcased some of the most tense scenes of the season.

The 45-year-old Logie winner is at the centre of the scene, as footage showed him lying on the ground as paramedics struggle to give him urgent medical attention, while his wife Chezzi watches on.

“Can we get the medic? He’s shaking, he’s shivering,” a voice said.

The upcoming season of the show will feature stars Grant Denyer and his wife, Jackie Gillies and husband Ben, Bec Judd and sister Kate Twigley, and Australian Survivor player "King" George and sister Pam.

A few of the other stars competing this season are The Voice Australia co-host Darren McMullen and his nephew Tristan, Kath and Kim comedian Peter Rowsthorn and his daughter, and Too Hot To Handle stars Harry and Teddy.

The show is set to air in October on Ten, and the stars will work with their loved ones to compete for $100,000 to their chosen charity, as they race against the clock to complete challenges in countries including India, Cambodia, Malaysia and Borneo.
