Carrie Bickmore's major career venture

Carrie Bickmore has shared her "career and parenting highlight" as she made her foray into a previously unexplored area of showbiz.

The former host of The Project has even impressed her young daughters with the new one-off venture, six months after leaving the Network Ten panel show.

The radio host shared on Instagram that she is the newest voice on the hit children’s show Bluey, voicing a guest character called “Terrier’s mum”.

Bickmore shared a video of her daughters, Evie and Adelaide, reacting to her new role as they watched the episode.

“My girls watching my two seconds of fame on the latest episode of Bluey!” she wrote in the caption.

“What a genuine thrill to be a part of such an incredible Aussie show. 💙 I think ‘Terrier’s mum’ needs to be a regular character 😉.”

Footage showed the girls watching the episode before lighting up and turning to face their mum in excitement after hearing her voice in the show.

Bickmore's fans and famous friends reacted to the sweet video, with her former colleague Rove McManus commenting, “Their off-the-chart reaction to your almost deadpan ‘That was it’. Perfect comic delivery.”

Aussie actress Kat Stewart wrote, “I am so jealous!!!!! 👏,” while fans shared that they were quick to recognise Carrie's voice on the episode.

One fan wrote that they “waited impatiently for the credits to see who the voice was as I knew I recognised it!”

“We need an episode now about Terrier’s mum and Winston’s dad getting together.”

“Not just a regular mum. A cool mum! 😉💗,” joked another.

“Our fave episode at the moment. This is career goals 👏,” one viewer wrote.
